Shift 2 crews were dispatched to a possible structure fire on Horton Drive earlier this evening.  E821 arrived on scene and found a small fire in the closet of single family dwelling.  Captain David Grabenbauer assumed command and had his crew investigate the fire.  Crews quickly found a small fire in a closet coming from a faulty water heater.  E821's crew made quick work of the fire with the can and found no extension from the fire.

After doing some smoke removal from the home, the remaining units were placed back into service.  On a side note, this home was found to have NO smoke detectors in place.  They had been removed from the walls for some reason.  This could of been a tragedy if the fire happened while the occupants were home and asleep.

Units on scene:  IC Captain Grabenbauer, E821, E823, E825, Beaufort E1, 803, 804, BCEMS2, BCSO
