The vehicle involved sustained heavy front end damage

Engine 822 responded to an unusual call today when a passenger vehicle struck a farm tractor on Trask Parkway. Crews arrived to find parts from both the vehicle and the tractor scattered on the roadway. The parties involved were assisted by emergency personnel from Burton Fire District, Sheldon Fire District, Beaufort County EMS, Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, and the SC State Highway Patrol. Traffic was disrupted for over an hour heading towards Beaufort while crews worked to clear the vehicles and debris from the roadway.
