Burton Fire District’s Commissioner Cornelius Dorsey resigned from the Commission Board in November 2007. He was presented with a plaque for his eight years of service at the Commissioners meeting on Wednesday.

This afternoon's Confined Space Refresher training was put on hold for a bit as crews worked a two vehicle accident on Savannah Highway near Baynard Road.

You know it is spring when the Easter Bunny appears at the Beaufort County Fair Grounds for the VFW Easter Festival. The Easter Bunny arrived code-3 with the crew of Engine 821 to an excited group of smiling children.

The "3 Engine" Catches Extrication on 170 - Mar 13, 2008 - 9:02:13 PM

Today as crews were set to start military vehicle familiarization training aboard the Marine Corps Air Station for the upcoming Vigilant Guard Exercise, the "3 Engine" was dispatched to an accident with injuries on Hwy 170 in the vicinity of the Broad River Pantry.

Today the Burton Fire District was visited by our friends from Spartan Fire Apparatus.  Pierce's new "P.U.C" was driven to Burton Hill to be looked at by all.

821 First Due in Grays Hill - Mar 8, 2008 - 7:38:32 PM
On February 25, 2008 Burton Fire District was dispatched to 16 Smith Road for a structure fire.  Engine 821 was on detail to Grays Hill Station for medical training and was first in.  Captain Cooper reported a working fire on the first floor of a two story single family dwelling extending to the second floor.
