Pierce Apparatus has been chosen to build a new fire engine for Burton Fire District.  Construction of the cab began this week and they were nice enough to share some photos with us of the work in progress.

Crews Respond to Car -vs- Tractor - Apr 14, 2010 - 6:50:45 PM
Engine 822 responded to an unusual call today when a passenger vehicle struck a farm tractor on Trask Parkway.  Crews arrived to find parts from both the vehicle and the tractor scattered on the roadway.

On 10th through the 12th  of March members of SCTF-1 trained with at Burton Fire District.  The canine team took full advantage of all the training areas Burton had to offer.

The firefighters at Burton Fire Station 892 have a new mascot thanks to mother nature.   Firefighters took advantage of the snow to build a snowman in front of their station to wave at passing residents.

Accident Closes the Broad River Bridge - Feb 8, 2010 - 12:58:25 PM
A bad accident closed the Broad River Bridge today when two trucks collided.  A SCDOT truck overturned and a tow truck sustained severe damage in the accident.
